Danny Thompson
Executive Vice President, Engineering & Operations

A co-founder of Caiman Energy, Danny Thompson has spent his entire 37-year career in the natural gas midstream business, focusing primarily on engineering and operations.
Danny retired from Crosstex Energy L.P. (NASDAQ: XTEX) in 2008 after serving three years as Senior Vice President of Operations and Engineering. His tenure at Crosstex was a period of rapid growth that saw the company triple in size through acquisitions and organic growth projects. Crosstex E&O functions reporting to Danny included operations, engineering, shared services, EH&S, measurement, pipeline integrity and purchasing.
Prior to joining Crosstex, he was Vice President of Engineering and Operations for Cantera Resources, Inc., and related companies. Danny joined Cantera in 2000 after the company acquired TXU Processing. While he was at Cantera the company acquired various midstream assets for $239 million and developed and sold them for approximately $1.4 billion. Prior to Cantera, he worked for CMS Field Services, successor to Continental Natural Gas, Inc. CMS was purchased by Cantera in 2003.
In 1991 Danny formed J-T Process Corporation, an engineering, consulting and manufacturing company that designed, installed and operated gas processing facilities across the Southwest and Rocky Mountains. From 1988 through 1991, Danny served as president of ITRP Natural Gas Ventures and Vice President of General Atlantic Resources and its successor companies where he managed midstream assets. Those assets were sold to Presidio (later Mountain Gas Resources). Earlier in his career he held various management and engineering positions with Producers Gas Company, Delhi Gas Pipeline and Mobil Oil Corporation.
Mr. Thompson received his Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from Texas A&M University. He is a Registered Professional Engineer (inactive status since 2005). Danny and his wife have three children and three grandchildren.
